Barreling Down

Urayama Naoki

Original

2024 Acrylic on canvas
M20 727x500x20mm

The theme of this work is “Chasing Your Dream.”

Barreling down your dream! Charge toward your dream!!

Complaining about your environment or circumstances will not bring your dream any closer. On the way to your dream, many obstacles and problems will surely arise. Do not look away: meet them head-on, break through, and seize your dream!! Those who have that spirit are the ones who reach their dreams. This work carries that conviction.

Profile

Born in 1975
From Chiba
While working as a designer, I reconsidered how I use my time (my life) during the pandemic, and in 2019 began in earnest the painting I had long been doing, as an emotional anchor and a place of mental refuge.
Finding pure love and the value of life in animals, I take them as my motif; while deforming them, I preserve the vitality and dignity that animals inherently possess, painting a world that is noble yet surreal, a world on the boundary between reality and unreality.
