Profile
Born in Hualien County, Taiwan, a place surrounded by mountains and sea. After publishing manga in Taiwan, moved to Kyoto, Japan, in 2022, and in 2023 studied Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) in Tokyo. Using acrylics and Nihonga pigments, the artist expresses a world in which reality and fantasy merge. Through combinations such as innocence and wickedness, beauty and terror, and humankind and all things in nature, the work expresses the coexistence of the dual nature of surface and interior.

白いフクロウの傍らで、黒髪の少年が、手のひらにのせた小さな植物の世界を見つめている。きのこ、苔、針葉樹、そして小さな生き物たち。湿った森の空気が、画面からしっとりと伝わってくる。
何振奇による「湿っていて温かい片隅」。岩絵具、水干絵具、墨、雲肌麻紙という日本画の素材で描かれた一枚だ。人間と自然界の万物が溶け合う、作家ならではの幻想的な世界。小さな片隅に宿る生命の温もりが、静かに胸に響く。
