渦巻く髪の少女、無数の突起をもつ龍のようなかたち、浮かぶ惑星。墨の濃淡だけで描かれた画面に、宇宙の深淵が広がっている。
何振奇による「銀河龍」。墨と胡粉ジェッソ、アクリルを用いて、宇宙に存在するかもしれない生命や文明を想像して描いた作品だ。素材の使い方にとらわれず、もっと自由でありたいという作家の言葉どおり、日本画の伝統と現代の想像力が大胆に交差する。
