“The Joy of Decay” and the creature Posemin

Selected Works ↓

The theme of my work is 'the joy of decay.' I believe that 'decay' is 'preparation for rebirth into something new.' Through cultivating the land, I reflected on 'decay' and remembered that I had also experienced a form of mental 'decay' from past painful events. I strongly felt that all of this decay played an important role in my new beginnings. In my work, a creature called 'Posemin' appears. I began to draw Posemin as a source of support during my times of mental decay. In a way, Posemin might represent my own rebirth.
