Ryota Shiga is a contemporary artist who explores the theme of everyday life. Drawing inspiration from simple daily activities like walking and eating, he depicts the richness and importance of the everyday. His works, created spontaneously without preliminary sketches, utilize oil paint and canvas to achieve a sense of lightness, a composition that gives a sense of spaciousness and bold compositions. Shiga's unique perspective, such as portraying faces using only dots, offers a fresh way of viewing the world. Art for Shiga is akin to life itself, and he aspires to continue painting until his last breath, constantly striving for even greater works.
