In Japan, an astonishing 1 million tons of clothing are discarded every year. The rise of fast fashion in 2008 marked the beginning of an era where clothes became disposable. As the value of clothing diminished, we entered a time when it became necessary to take responsibility not only for making clothes but also for buying them.

"Let’s bring discarded or no longer wearable clothes back to life and make them sparkle again!" With this in mind, Chiharu Kikuchi, former designer of Candy Stripper, has created a one-of-a-kind, nostalgic yet fresh hyper-Japan remake brand:
Mother’s made is born!
