Misato Nozawa

Born in Chiba and raised in the United States, Misato Nozawa graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Law and began her artistic career in 2023, focusing on the theme of guardian animals. Guardian animals possess the wisdom to survive and live in harmony with nature; she depicts them as sources of support that bring meaning to one's life. Because of diverse values, experiences and ever-changing emotions, no one can fully understand another's feelings, actions or choices — and at times we cannot grasp our own. She believes that having a guardian animal by one's side creates the inner space needed to coexist with others.
