T-shirt Misato Nozawa T-shirt Misato NozawaEDITION

Misato Nozawa

Born in Chiba and raised in the United States. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Keio University, I began my career as an artist in 2023, creating works on the theme of guardian animals.

Concept

Guardian animals possess the wisdom to survive and live in harmony with nature. I paint them in the hope that their presence becomes a source of support and takes on a meaningful role in one’s life. Because of diverse values and experiences, the circumstances each person is placed in, and the shifting emotions of each moment, no one but oneself can understand one’s feelings or the actions and choices based on them. Moreover, the self of the present is renewed minute by minute, second by second, and there are times when even I cannot tell what I truly feel. Amid all this, I believe that having a guardian animal by one’s side creates the inner space needed to live in coexistence with others.
