Using oil paint and oil pastel, I am developing NOTHINGNESS, a series that dissolves familiar beings and spaces into “nothingness.” Focusing on the distortions and wavering that lurk just beside everyday life, I paint them through the character IGU.

IGUによる「NOTHINGNESS」シリーズの「SIT」。半径3メートル以内の、ごく身近な世界。油彩とオイルパステルの素朴なタッチが、何もしない時間の豊かさをそっと肯定する。大きな出来事ではなく、ただそこに座っていること。その“無”の心地よさが伝わってくる。
