Profile

Born in Tokyo in 1974. Graduated in 1998 from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art and Design, Tokyo Zokei University. Enrolled since 2024 in the Western Painting Course, Graduate School of Art and Design (correspondence program), Kyoto University of the Arts. Began making deer-themed objects while at university, and has since continued to create narrative paintings and sculptural works featuring animals and women. The works give form to subtle movements of the heart that are hard to put into words: the small joys and moments of happiness in daily life that we seldom notice and easily overlook, yet wish to cherish.
Recent exhibitions include the solo exhibition “Shika no Yoru (Deer’s Night),” 6jigen (2015); SICF20, Spiral Hall (2019); and the solo exhibition “Kofuku na Sanpo (A Happy Walk),” OGUMAG (2023).
