Profile

Born in 1990 in Akita City, Akita Prefecture; based in Chiba Prefecture.

After a breakdown of body and mind, I spent several years bedridden and battling my symptoms, fighting the fear that the person I was, my very individuality, would cease to exist. Drawing, which I had loved since kindergarten, saved me; through it I rebuilt the shape of who I am, and in 2021 I began working as an artist in earnest.

My work is built on the motif of “poison-cute,” channeled into devils, monsters and slightly unhinged girls. My characters sometimes carry shadows, holding cruelty, a longing for transformation, and freedom. And from my own childhood: “Oh no, the leg came off!!”, words anyone who played at catching insects has surely said at least once. That innocence and cruelty still lurk in a corner of my heart, becoming slightly grotesque yet pop expressions and colors that shape my work.
