Nyandy War

αGEN - A2A (594Square)

Original

2024 Ed.1/3 AP1

Digital painting, AI prompt art, giclée print, acrylic mount

594 × 594 mm

This work was created as part of a project to revive the Japanese kimono as contemporary art.

Reinterpreting the kimono as the fashion of the future and adorning it with digital gadgets and jewelry, the project develops it into works of art that go beyond mere clothing. Its aim is to give form, through AI, to a message from Generation Alpha in the 2040s, and to advance historical fashion and traditional techniques.

Plans are under way to expand into costumes for musicians, collaborations with high-end brands, and the production of sculptures and figures. Purchasing this work supports the project and will help with further fundraising and the recruitment of collaborative partners. We invite you to join us in creating value for the future.

Profile

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from the art course of Yaei High School and the Department of Design, Tokyo Polytechnic University, and works across many fields as a graphic designer and art director. After the pandemic, began creating art using AI prompts. The αGEN series reinterprets the historical fashion of ancient Rome, the Egyptian dynasties and Japan, expanding into costumes for musicians, brand collaborations, sculptures and figures, and depicts a future society that respects non-binary gender and diversity. It also sounds a warning about the way today’s fast fashion and mass production are leading to the loss of culture and a decline in the essential value of fashion, proposing a new perspective: that fashion should be redefined not as a mere consumable but as an artistic expression reflecting history and personal identity. Originating in Japan, the project offers a new viewpoint to a Western-centered art world and attempts to break through established notions dependent on capitalism. Through the fusion of art and fashion, it holds the potential to show a path toward a new future. It will also further evolve Japanese pop and kawaii, expressing food, music, technology, architecture and spirituality, and share them with the world.
