Profile

YOZO KELENMI is an artist who incorporates the “satsuei” (compositing and photography) process of anime, evolved through digital technology, into his analog works and reconstructs it. Rather than simply imitating anime expression, he focuses on the completeness of each work as a painting. The decorative tag at the lower right of his works carries his wish to make painting as familiar and approachable as Japanese anime. His work expresses a unique world that transcends the boundary between anime and art.
