YOZO KELENMI

YOZO KELENMI is an artist who takes the satsuei shori (compositing and photographic effects) of anime, a process transformed by digital technology, and reconstructs it within his own analog works. Rather than simply imitating anime expression, he is equally committed to the integrity of each work as a painting. The decorative tag in the lower right of his works carries his wish to make painting as familiar and approachable as Japanese anime. His work expresses a singular world that transcends the boundary between anime and art.
