プロフィール

Pom Zyquitaは、「創造まで高まろうと目指す概念を含む」新しい造形としてのビーズ刺繍芸術を発展させようと試みるアーティストである。テキスタイル装飾などに見られる伝統的な刺繍物の模倣ではなく、人類の普遍的な感情や色彩心理を具象化できる新しい刺繍表現を模索している。

青年期からの世界放浪旅で、人・物・事の儚さや美しさに感銘をうける。しかしその時に受け取った感情を他者にそのままの価値で伝達することはほぼ不可能であることも同時に思い知らされる。ある特定の出来事に対する感情とは、 言語・文化・思想といった後天的な人間の性質に左右されつつも、 時間の経過によって変化しうる幻想的なビジョンであると考え、視覚的にそのビジョンを呼び起こすことができる表現を模索し続けている。

Profile

Pom Zyquita is an artist striving to develop a new form of bead embroidery art that embodies the concept of "aspiring to elevate creativity." Rather than merely imitating traditional embroidery found in textile decorations, he seeks to explore new embroidery expressions that can materialize universal human emotions and the psychology of color.

From a young age, his travels around the world have deeply moved his by the fleeting beauty and transience of people, objects, and experiences. However, he has also come to realize that it is nearly impossible to convey the emotions received during those moments with their original value to others. He believes that emotions related to specific events are influenced by acquired human traits such as language, culture, and ideology, while also being a fantastical vision that can change over time. Thus, he continues to search for expressions that can visually evoke that vision.
