Profile

I have no specialized career or roots in art.
As a student, the only kind of “picture” I knew was manga.
After I began attending film school (Eiga Bigakko) in my early twenties, I became interested in the arts in general, and it was during that period that I encountered art.
I am not an expert in art, but I believe I have a wealth of other experience, including creative work.
Drawing on these varied experiences, I enjoy and devote myself to making work in the spirit of what Basquiat said when he first met Warhol: “Would you take a look at my ignorant paintings?”
