Colored by the city, colored by the countryside, colored in one’s own hue… there are many ways of being colored, but I want never to forget my own color. It would be wonderful to express the ideal self I envision, yet sometimes the brush comes to a stop. This work expresses the feeling of living in the world while drawing nourishment from a wealth of experience.

Profile

Born in 1987 in Hiroshima Prefecture. After graduating from university, began working as an illustrator. Having grown up in Hiroshima, she came to want to express peace, the vitality needed to live, and peace of mind. Through exhibitions and works on the theme of peace during her student years, she explored methods of expression and resolved to seek out and depict what people share in their thoughts and feelings. She continues to explore expression so that art may reach the brighter side of humanity and its warmer emotions.
